1. What is Project Management?

Project Management lets you structure a client’s engagement: you group events (surveys, workshops, actions) on a timeline, schedule them on a calendar, attach files to them, and assign team members. This keeps the full course of an engagement organized in one place. You find it under Projects in the left-hand navigation panel of a client.

2. Creating a project

Click the create button to start a new project. In the creation modal, you fill in:
  • Project name (required)
  • Description (optional)
  • Assignees — the team members assigned to the project
After creating the project, you’re taken to its detail page.

3. The project detail page

A project is organized into tabs: Overview, Calendar, Events, Dashboard, and Files. At the top, you manage the title, status, and description (directly editable) and assign assignees. The project itself has its own status, separate from the status of its individual events:

3.1 Overview

The Overview shows:
  • The upcoming events (the next scheduled items)
  • The timeline with all scheduled events in chronological order
  • The unscheduled events (without a date)

3.2 Calendar

The Calendar shows scheduled events in a month, week, or day view. You can drag events to reschedule them, and click an event to open its details.

3.3 Events

Here you manage all events for the project. For each event, you see its status, date, linked survey, and assignees. See the Events & Tasks guide for event types, statuses, and how tasks work.

3.4 Files

On the Files tab, you manage the project’s files. You can upload files and later link them to specific events.

3.5 Dashboard

The Dashboard gives a summary view of the project’s progress.
The exact contents of the Dashboard tab may be limited or still under development. Verify the current functionality in the portal before relying on it.

4. Permissions

Like the other features, Project Management falls under the permission model (see the Users & Permissions guide). For each user, you determine whether they can view and/or manage projects, and which tabs are visible.
  1. Create a project per client engagement and assign the right assignees.
  2. Schedule via the calendar by dragging events; leave loose items in “Unscheduled” until they get a date.
  3. Bundle documents on the Files tab and link them to the corresponding events.
  4. Restrict tab visibility per user through Permissions if a colleague only needs part of the project.
See the Events & Tasks guide for how to add events, set their status, link surveys, and use tasks.
