1. Building an instrument

Besides individual building blocks, you can build a complete instrument in one go via Add items on the Library page. This runs through a wizard with the following steps:
The Excel import is the fastest route for a large, existing instrument. If you’re building something new and small, it’s faster to work directly through the Questions → Modules → KPIs steps.

2. Translation management

All content — questions, modules, KPIs, answer sets, and templates — is multilingual. In the Translations step, you see a grid of all fields that need translating, with one column per language. You edit each cell directly. The Auto translate all button lets the platform automatically translate the content into the selected languages. You can still manually refine any automatic translation afterwards. The platform shows how many fields still need translation; you can only continue once everything is complete.
  1. Reuse first — search via Explore to see if a suitable question, module, or KPI already exists before creating something new.
  2. Respect the hierarchy — questions before modules, modules before KPIs; set each item’s dimension as you go.
  3. Work with answer sets for recurring scales — that keeps your surveys consistent.
  4. Build large instruments via Excel import; build small, new content directly through the wizard.
  5. Translate in one go — use “Auto translate all” and refine afterwards.
Once you’re happy with a set of content, save it as a reusable template — see the Templates guide.
